Can something be wrong when the bloodwork came back normal?

Some of the people who ask about functional work at our Lady Lake office are not in pain at all.

They are flat by mid-afternoon, uncomfortable after meals they have eaten for forty years, or foggy enough that it has started to frighten them. The annual wellness visit came back normal and somebody said it was just age.

Where does this work happen, and on which days?

Functional work runs at 929 US-441 #404 in Lady Lake, on the three days a week we treat here.

Those days are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Tuesday and Friday are by appointment, and this office is closed Saturday and Sunday.

Who takes the history?

Dr. Justin Bergin, DC takes the history himself.

It runs long here, because seventy-four years of medical history takes longer to tell than forty.

What we do at our Lady Lake office

Both ChiroMed offices deliver the same lineup, so nothing on this page is a redirect to somewhere else. These are the six disciplines a plan is built from.

Functional Medicine Testing at This Office

Panels measure things a routine annual physical is not designed to order, and they are read against your history, your medication list and what you actually came in about.

The medication list is read closely at this desk. Some patients here arrive on five or six prescriptions written by four different people, and some of what gets blamed on age belongs to that list instead.

No plan is written until the panels are back, and a set that comes back unremarkable is reported to you as exactly that.

Here is what a functional workup looks for at the Lady Lake desk.

Gut Health Care for The Villages

Digestive complaints are a common reason for a call from The Villages. Reflux that started after a hospital stay. Constipation that arrived with a new tablet. Bloating that has quietly reorganized where somebody is willing to eat, and how far they are willing to drive to do it.

The work looks at food sensitivities, gut bacteria balance and nutritional gaps, then builds a plan around targeted nutrition and supplementation. Fatigue and brain fog usually travel with all of it.

Read about gut-first care for bloating, reflux and irregularity.

How a Course Runs Around Three Treating Days

This office treats Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, mornings from 8:30 and afternoons from 2:30. Tuesday and Friday are by appointment, and it is closed Saturday and Sunday.

Plan a Lady Lake visit off these hours and not the other office's, because the two offices run different weeks. The Lakeland treating days sit on the Lakeland office hours in full.

A course here is one long first appointment, a gap while panels are processed, then a sit-down where the results are explained.

Patients who go north for part of the year should say so at that first visit.

What It Costs, and What Medicare Does

Functional and holistic care here is self-pay. The testing and the plan that follows are quoted separately, before anything is ordered.

Medicare matters at this address, and coverage varies by plan and by service. The front desk will tell you what applies before you commit to anything.

Chiropractic care at ChiroMed bills insurance, and our team verifies those benefits first. Payment plans are available for self-pay care.

New patients start with the consultation, exam, X-rays if needed and report of findings for $47.

What We Can Show You, and What We Cannot

Lady Lake is the newer of our two offices and its review base is still small, so there is no wall of local testimonials about gut work to point you at. We will not move one across from the other office and call it local.

What we can put in front of you is checkable. Dr. Justin Bergin, DC has 22 years in practice and performs the examination himself at this address.

One of the categories this practice lists under is Holistic medicine practitioner, and the license behind every plan written here is a Doctor of Chiropractic license, not any other kind.

Nothing is ordered before the results are back.

Why This Starts With an Examination

A functional plan sold off a questionnaire is a supplement order with a clipboard in front of it.

Everything here starts with a consultation and an examination, because the useful answer is sometimes that your symptoms belong to a spine, a nerve or a circulation problem rather than to your gut.

Chiropractic care, spinal and knee decompression, Neuromed electroanalgesia, Omniwave acoustic wave therapy, metabolic care and functional testing sit in one building on one plan. The fatigue, the numb feet and the bloating are looked at by the same clinician rather than by three who never speak.

This does not replace your physician.

What we are near

What should I look for when I pull in?

The office is on North US-441, a little above the CR 466 junction, and the suite number to look for is 404.

Parking sits at ground level directly outside, with no garage to circle and no stairs to climb.

Can I come by golf cart?

Because paths and crossings change, the front desk talks you through the current route when you call.

How far is it from the squares?

Spanish Springs Town Square is the nearest of the three squares. Lake Sumter Landing is a straightforward run, and Brownwood Paddock Square is the longest.

Patients come from The Villages itself and from Lady Lake, Summerfield, Oxford, Wildwood, Fruitland Park and Leesburg.

What else is on this stretch?

UF Health The Villages Hospital is nearby, and the Lake-Sumter State College campus over in Leesburg is a short drive.

We hold no affiliation with either one.

Our Lady Lake office is a short drive from the Lake-Sumter State College campus in Leesburg, and we serve the same tri-county community. We are not affiliated with the college.

Functional Medicine in The Villages questions

Tap a message for the honest answer. Call The Villages (352) 915-7150

Which days can I be seen for functional work at the Lady Lake office?

Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM and again from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Tuesday and Friday are by appointment, and this office is closed Saturday and Sunday.

Book off these hours rather than the other office's, because the two offices run different weeks. If you need the other one, see where the Lakeland office lists its own treating days.

First visits for this kind of work run long, so ask for one of the slots early in a session. Call (352) 915-7150 and the desk will tell you what is open.

Does Medicare pay for functional testing in The Villages?

Coverage varies by plan and by service, and we will not tell you an outcome we cannot stand behind. Functional and holistic care at this office is self-pay.

Some laboratory work may be billable through your own physician and some of it is covered by nobody.

Chiropractic care at ChiroMed does bill insurance, and our team verifies those benefits before a first visit, including what a Medicare or Medicare Advantage plan says. Ask the front desk to check while they have you on the phone.

Can I reach the office by golf cart, and is there a step at the door?

Carts are a normal way to arrive here. Routes and crossings change, so call (352) 915-7150 and the front desk will give you the current one from your village and tell you where to leave the cart.

For cars, parking is at ground level immediately outside suite 404, with no garage and no stairs.

If a curb or a threshold would be a problem for you, say so when you book and somebody will meet you at the door.

I am only in Florida part of the year. Can testing work around that?

Yes, and it is worth raising at the first appointment rather than the third.

A functional course here runs as a long first visit, a gap while panels are processed, then a sit-down appointment where the results are explained.

If you head north in May or June, we build that sequence to finish or to pause cleanly instead of stranding you mid-plan. Patients who split the year between here and somewhere else are on this office's list.

How do I find you from Spanish Springs Town Square?

Spanish Springs is the closest of the three squares to us. Come out onto US-441 and head north past the CR 466 intersection, and we are a short way up on that stretch, in suite 404 at 929 US-441 in Lady Lake.

From Lake Sumter Landing it is a straightforward drive, and from Brownwood Paddock Square it is the longest of the three, though patients make it comfortably.

Allow a few extra minutes at CR 466 during the morning.
