Has the knee started setting your calendar?
The knee goes first around here, and it goes on a schedule. Eighteen holes becomes nine. The pickleball ladder becomes doubles only.
The stairs at the front of the house start getting planned around, and the cart gets used for trips that used to be a walk.
What if you are already out of injections?
Maybe that is where you are: one injection, then a second that did less, then a conversation about a replacement. Nothing was offered between the needle and the operating table.
Knee decompression sits in that gap. It is done at our Lady Lake office on US-441.
So what does a first visit actually settle?
Nobody at this office promises you a new joint, and anybody who does is selling.
What the examination settles is whether your knee is the kind that responds. You hear that the same day, from the person who examined you.
What knee decompression is
Knee decompression applies slow, controlled traction along the leg to ease the joint surfaces apart and take load off compressed tissue. No needle, no incision, no anesthetic. At the Lady Lake office it runs on the same three treating days as the rest of your care.
Load is what hurts, and mileage is what wears knees in this market: parking lots, the squares, eighteen holes, the pool deck, then the walk back to where the cart is parked.
Volume, not violence. Decompression treats the mechanical half of that and nothing else.
How it works
The pull
Slow, controlled traction is applied along the leg while you lie on the table. No needle, no incision, no anesthetic.
The surfaces ease apart
While the pull is on, the joint surfaces are eased apart and load comes off the compressed tissue between them.
The mechanical half, and only that
What can change is how much load the joint carries through an ordinary day, and how far you get before pain stops you.

Cost, insurance and financing
Nobody can price a knee over the phone, and this office does not pretend otherwise. What it costs follows what the examination finds, and you hear the whole figure at the report of findings before anything begins.
The one published price
Consultation, Exam, X-Rays (If Needed) & Report of Findings: Only $47
What affects the cost
- Whether decompression is the whole plan or one part of a wider knee program
- Whether the hip or lower back is feeding the problem and needs treating too
- Whether imaging is needed, or you already have recent films from a local orthopedic office
- How long a course the findings support, which is set after the examination and never before it
What a course includes
- The consultation with Dr. Justin Bergin, DC at the Lady Lake office
- The examination, and X-rays if they change the recommendation
- The written report of findings and the recommended course
- Re-checks against the markers taken on your first visit
Payment:
Knee decompression is self-pay. Where chiropractic care is part of your plan, that portion bills insurance and our team verifies those benefits before your first visit. This is a retirement market, so Medicare gets asked about here: coverage varies by plan and by service, and the front desk tells you exactly what applies before you commit to anything. Payment plans are available for self-pay care. Ask the front desk which plan fits your course of care. Every new patient starts the same way: Consultation, Exam, X-Rays (If Needed) & Report of Findings: Only $47.

What we are near
Where on US-441 is the office?
The office sits on North US-441 a little above the CR 466 lights, in suite 404.
Parking is ground level a few steps from the door, with no garage to circle and no stairs to climb on a sore knee.
Can you get here by golf cart?
Patients arrive by cart. Routes through this community change often enough that the front desk talks you through the current one when you call.
Which town square are you coming from?
Spanish Springs Town Square is the nearest of the three squares. Lake Sumter Landing is an easy run, and Brownwood Paddock Square is the longest.
Which towns do patients drive in from?
Patients also come from Lady Lake, Summerfield, Wildwood, Oxford, Fruitland Park and Leesburg, across Sumter, Lake and Marion counties.

Patient experience at our Lady Lake office
Why is there not a wall of reviews on this page?
This is the newer of our two offices and the review base here is still small, so we are not going to dress a handful of comments up as proof.
Substance is what we can put in front of you instead.
Who actually treats at this address?
Dr. Justin Bergin, DC has 22 years in practice and treats at this address himself, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Do people travel for this one?
Patients drive in for knee decompression from Summerfield, Wildwood and Leesburg.
What stops the wrong knee being enrolled?
Nothing is booked before an examination, and a knee that belongs with a surgeon is sent to one rather than enrolled.
Have you already been treated at Lady Lake?

Your first visit
What to expect, step by step
The first visit at Lady Lake is an examination of the knee and of the hip and lower back above it. Dr. Justin Bergin, DC watches how you load the joint and looks for pain arriving from somewhere else. You get the findings in writing before any table time is booked, and the course is built around three treating days a week.

I golf three days a week. Do I have to stop while my knee is treated?
That is not where we start, and we would rather talk about how you play than tell you to sit down. What can change is the walking volume, the cart, the number of holes and what you do before you tee off. Dr. Justin Bergin, DC sets that with you at the report of findings, against the week you actually have. Care that costs you the thing you retired here to do is hard to stick with, and we know it.
Will Medicare pay for knee decompression at the Lady Lake office?
Coverage varies by plan and by service, and nobody should answer that for you over the phone. Cash-pay device programs are generally not covered. Where chiropractic care forms part of your plan, that portion may be billable. Bring your card to the first visit and ask the front desk to check while you are there. You will be told what applies before you commit to anything.
Are the treating days here the same as the Lakeland office?
No, and it catches people out. Lady Lake treats Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM and again from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Tuesday and Friday are by appointment, and we are closed Saturday and Sunday. The Lakeland office runs to its own schedule, which is published on the page for the Lakeland office. Call (352) 915-7150 and the team will build your course around those three days.
How do I find you coming from Spanish Springs Town Square?
Come out onto US-441 and head north. You stay on 441 past the CR 466 intersection, and we are a short run up that stretch at 929 US-441, suite 404. Look for the suite number rather than a big sign. Parking sits at ground level right outside, so there is no garage, no lobby to cross and no stairs. If you are coming from Lake Sumter Landing or Brownwood Paddock Square, allow a little extra at the 466 junction in the morning.
A surgeon already told me I need a replacement. Is it too late to try this?
It depends on the joint, not on the conversation you have already had. Where the surface is genuinely gone and pain is waking you at night, a replacement is often the honest answer and you will hear us say so. Where the knee is irritable rather than finished, conservative care may not have had a fair trial yet. The examination tells those two apart, and starting here rules nothing out later.
