Have you been told it is just your age?
The sentence that brings people through this door is often the one they heard at their last appointment. At your age, that is just wear.
It gets said about a back that decides when the gardening stops, a neck that turns reversing off the driveway into an event, and a hip that has quietly shortened every walk.
So why is one shoulder sore and the other one fine?
Wear is real, and it shows on a film. It does not explain why one shoulder has been sore for three years while the other, exactly the same age, is fine.
What do people at the Lady Lake office actually want back?
Almost nobody walking into our Lady Lake office is after something dramatic. They want twenty minutes in a flower bed again, or eighteen holes rather than nine.
Dr. Justin Bergin, DC has spent 22 years sorting out which stiff, sore joints answer to it and which belong with somebody else.
What chiropractic care is
Chiropractic care at our Lady Lake office is treatment of spinal and limb joints that have stopped moving properly, delivered by hand or by instrument by a Doctor of Chiropractic. It is the one line of care at this address that bills insurance, and your benefits are checked before your first visit rather than after it.
Age does not change the mechanics. What it changes is how much has piled up, how many old injuries are in the story, and how much force the tissue in front of us will take today.
That last part is why lower-force work is the default here rather than the exception.
How it works
The restriction is found
Testing locates the spinal and limb joints that have stopped moving properly. Limbs are examined alongside the spine, since a locked ankle or a guarded shoulder loads the back for years before anyone looks at it.
The joint gets a directional input
By hand that is a quick, specific, low-amplitude thrust into one restricted segment.
Or the same input with far less load
An instrument or a drop table gives the joint the same directional input with a fraction of the load and no twisting.

Cost, insurance and financing
Two people with the same sore back can owe very different amounts here, and the difference is insurance rather than treatment. The Lady Lake front desk settles it before you start.

Chiropractic care at ChiroMed bills insurance. Our team verifies your benefits before your first visit. Many patients at this address are Medicare age, so this is worth being plain about: coverage varies by plan and by service, and the front desk will tell you exactly what applies before you commit to anything. What we are near
Where is the suite, and where do I park?
The suite is 404, in the building set back on the east side of North US-441 a short way above the CR 466 lights.
Parking sits at ground level immediately outside, so there is no garage, no elevator and no stairs between the car and the front desk.
Can I come by golf cart instead?
Many patients arrive by golf cart, and because cart routes keep changing the front desk talks you through the current one when you call.
Which of the three squares are you nearest?
Spanish Springs Town Square is the shortest hop of the three squares, and people make the longer runs from Lake Sumter Landing and Brownwood Paddock Square routinely.
Who else comes here from outside the gates?
Beyond the gates we see patients from Lady Lake, Summerfield, Wildwood, Oxford, Fruitland Park and Leesburg, across Sumter, Lake and Marion counties.
What are the landmarks around the office?
UF Health The Villages Hospital is close by and the Lake-Sumter State College campus is a short run toward Leesburg. We are not affiliated with either one.
Our Lady Lake office is a short drive from the Lake-Sumter State College campus in Leesburg, and we serve the same tri-county community. We are not affiliated with the college.
ChiroMed is an independent practice. Naming nearby hospitals, colleges or landmarks describes where we are, not who we are affiliated with. There is no affiliation, partnership or endorsement of any kind.

Patient experience at our Lady Lake office
Why is the review list from this address short?
This is the newer of the two offices, so the review list from this address is short and we are not going to dress it up.
Whose review is printed below?
One patient treated here has published a review, printed below exactly as she wrote it.
She had carried pain a long time before starting, which is a common story in this building.
Does a Google review from Lady Lake help anybody?
A review on Google from anyone treated at Lady Lake helps the next person in Summerfield decide whether to call.

Your first visit
What to expect, step by step
This office treats Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, with Tuesday and Friday by appointment, so a first visit is planned rather than squeezed in. Dr. Justin Bergin, DC takes the history, examines you and orders imaging if the findings call for it. You return on one of the same three days for the report of findings, and that is where the shape of your care gets decided.

Is Dr. Bergin the one who actually adjusts me at the Lady Lake office?
Yes. Dr. Justin Bergin, DC treats at this address himself and performs the examination personally. He is the only provider named anywhere on this site, and that is deliberate. He also treats at the Lakeland office, which is why the treating days here are fixed rather than open all week. When you call (352) 915-7150 the front desk books you into one of his days at this location.
Which days do you treat in Lady Lake, and is that the same as Lakeland?
It is not the same, and people get caught out by it. Lady Lake treats Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM and again from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Tuesday and Friday here are by appointment, and we are closed Saturday and Sunday. Our Lakeland office keeps its own schedule, which is set out on our Lakeland office page. If a listing somewhere shows this office open on a Friday, the listing is wrong.
Can I come by golf cart, and where do I leave it?
Plenty of patients do. Cart paths, crossings and connections around this stretch of US-441 change often enough that printing a route would be a disservice. Call (352) 915-7150 before your first visit and the front desk will talk you through the current way in from your village and where to leave the cart. If you drive instead, parking is right outside the suite at ground level with no stairs.
Does Medicare cover an adjustment at this office?
Coverage varies by plan and by service, and anyone giving you a flat yes on a web page is guessing. Here is what actually happens. Chiropractic care at ChiroMed bills insurance, and our team verifies your benefits before your first visit, including what a Medicare or Medicare Advantage plan says about spinal manipulation. You are told what applies to you before you commit to a course. The $47 new-patient consultation, exam, X-rays if needed and report of findings is available either way.
I have osteoporosis and a fusion in my low back. Do I have to be twisted and cracked?
No. Lower-force care is the normal approach at this office rather than a special request. An instrument or a drop table gives the joint the same directional input with very little load and no rotation through the spine. Bring your bone density result and your surgical history to the first visit, and say plainly what you do not want done. Thinning bone, a previous fusion, a joint replacement, blood thinners and a recent fall all change how you are treated, and some of them mean you are sent for imaging before anything happens at all.
How do I find the suite coming up from Spanish Springs?
Head north on US-441 past the CR 466 intersection and stay in the right-hand lanes. The building sits back from the road on the eastern side, and the number you want on the door is 404. Spanish Springs is the nearest of the three town squares to us. Coming from Lake Sumter Landing or Brownwood Paddock Square gives you a longer run up 441, so allow a little extra at the 466 lights in the morning.
