Who Walks In Here, and With What

Retirement in this market is not a quiet one. There are tee times, a pickleball ladder, tennis on the right morning, and a garden that wants turning over before the heat arrives.

There are grandchildren to collect from the airport, and a car people fully intend to keep driving themselves. None of that is gentle on a spine, a hip or a knee that has already put in fifty years.

Three Treating Days, and What That Means for You

Dr. Justin Bergin, DC treats at this address on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM and again from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Tuesday and Friday here are by appointment, and we are closed Saturday and Sunday.

What Gets Sent Somewhere Else

A good part of a first visit is deciding whether your problem belongs in this building at all. Mechanical problems do: a joint that has stopped moving, a disc under load, a tendon that never finished healing, a pelvic floor that lost its timing.

Medical problems do not, and they are named at the first visit rather than the fifth:

• A fracture after a fall
• An infection
• Weakness that is getting worse week by week
• Blood sugar nobody is managing
• Anything that arrived suddenly and severely

Nobody is put on a plan of care here to avoid an awkward conversation about referral, and nobody is sold a course for a problem that needs a surgeon.

Where to Start If You Are Not Sure

Pick whichever problem has cost you the most this year and start there. If two of them are tangled together, which is common at this office, say so on the phone and both get examined at the same appointment rather than across two.
