Medically reviewed by Dr. Justin Bergin, DC Updated September 18, 2026

Why does this question always come last?

Nobody opens with this one. They come in about a knee, or numb feet, or a back that will not straighten.

Then, halfway out of the door, they ask about the thing that has quietly bothered them since they moved down here. An upper arm they will not show at the pool. A middle that stayed put after forty pounds came off.

What does Ultraslim treat, and what does it not?

So here is the straight answer. Body contouring with Ultraslim treats one area of the body.

It does not treat weight, and it will not satisfy a surgeon who has told you to be lighter before a knee or a hip replacement.

Where it does fit, that is what it is for, and Dr. Justin Bergin, DC will tell you plainly which of the two you are.

What body contouring is

Body contouring at the Lady Lake office is non-surgical fat reduction aimed at a single area of the body, delivered with the Ultraslim device applied at the surface of the skin. Nothing is cut, injected or suctioned, no anesthesia is used, and you drive yourself home afterwards. It is a shaping treatment, not a weight loss treatment.

What a session involves. You lie down, the Ultraslim device is applied over the region being treated, and you dress and leave when it is finished. There is no recovery to plan around, which matters in a community where the week is already spoken for.

What we will not put in front of you. No before-and-after photographs, no percentage figures, no inch measurements. Results differ between people and between areas of the same person, and a stranger's picture is not a forecast of yours.

What Ultraslim Can Change, and What It Cannot

It can change the look of one region. A flank. An abdomen. An upper arm. Somewhere that has not followed, despite the rest of you doing the work. Wanting that at 69 is no odder than wanting it at 39.

It cannot change your numbers. Blood sugar, blood pressure, triglycerides and cholesterol do not move because one area was treated. If those are what your physician is worried about, a device is the wrong answer.

It cannot deliver a surgical result. Liposuction removes a volume of tissue in one procedure under anesthesia. An external device works gradually, one region at a time. The trade is size of result for no surgery and no recovery.

It cannot help loose skin. Skin that has lost its elasticity after a large weight loss, or with age, is a surgical question.

Why This Question Arrives Differently Here

Some of the people who raise it at this desk have already done something difficult. They changed how they eat after a diagnosis, or walked every morning for two years, or came off a medication that had been adding weight for a decade. Something real happened, and one area did not follow it.

What is different here is the screening. More prescriptions in the room, more implanted devices, more replaced joints, more skin thinned by years of steroids. None of that makes anybody automatically unsuitable, and all of it gets asked about before the area is assessed. Some people are told to check with their own physician first. Some are told no outright.

If your goal is health rather than shape, you will be told so at the consultation, not after you have paid for a course.

Who This Suits, and Who It Does Not

Likely a good fit if: you are close to a weight you are comfortable with and one area has not kept up, despite genuine changes to eating and activity. You understand that a shaping result is not a weight result, and you can attend a course rather than expecting one visit to finish the job.

Generally not appropriate if: the real goal is weight, blood sugar or metabolic health. There is an active skin infection, an open wound or a rash over the area. You have an implanted electronic device, recent surgery in the area, or a condition your physician has not cleared. The problem is loose skin rather than fat.

Why the Lady Lake Office

A clinic that sells only contouring has one answer to every question that walks through its door. This is not that clinic. Dr. Justin Bergin, DC has 22 years of practice behind him and six lines of work under one roof: chiropractic, spinal and knee decompression, Omniwave shockwave, Neuromed electroanalgesia, functional testing and metabolic care. That range buys you the freedom to be told no.

Some who ask about contouring here are asking a metabolic question in cosmetic language, and the redirection takes one conversation rather than a referral and a long wait. Look at the wider weight and metabolic work done at this address, and find opening hours, directions and what to expect on arrival on the office page.

Call (352) 915-7150 and have the area looked at before you buy anything.

For the picture at both offices, see the full Ultraslim body contouring overview for both offices.

Cost, insurance and financing

The cost depends on which area is treated, how many areas are involved, and how long a course the assessment supports. That is decided after somebody has looked at you, so there is no menu here and no number over the phone.

The one published price

Consultation, Exam, X-Rays (If Needed) & Report of Findings: Only $47

What affects the cost

  • Which area is being treated, and how large it is
  • Whether one region is involved or several
  • How long a course the assessment supports, which is set at the consultation
  • Whether contouring is the only thing you are being seen for here

What a course includes

  • The consultation, the medical screening and the assessment of the area
  • A written recommendation carrying the full cost of the course before it begins
  • The in-office sessions themselves
  • Reassessment of the area as the course progresses

Payment:

Body contouring is self-pay. No insurer covers a shaping treatment, and neither Medicare nor a Medicare Advantage plan covers one, so budget for it as a cosmetic expense. Chiropractic care at ChiroMed does bill insurance, and our team verifies those benefits before your first visit if that is also part of your plan. Coverage varies by plan and by service, and the front desk will tell you exactly what applies before you commit to anything. Payment plans are available for self-pay care. Ask the front desk which plan fits your course of care. New patients start the same way: Consultation, Exam, X-Rays (If Needed) & Report of Findings: Only $47.

What we are near

Where exactly is the Lady Lake office?

We sit at 929 US-441 #404, Lady Lake, FL 32159, on the northern stretch of US-441 just past the CR 466 junction. Look for suite 404.

The parking outside is flat and at ground level, there is no garage and no staircase, and the walk from the car is short.

Can I get here in a golf cart?

Carts reach us too, and since the paths change the front desk will run through the current route with you when you ring.

Which towns do patients drive in from?

People book this service from across The Villages and from Lady Lake, Summerfield, Wildwood, Oxford, Fruitland Park and Leesburg, in Sumter, Lake and Marion counties.

Of the three town squares, Spanish Springs sits closest, Lake Sumter Landing is an easy drive and Brownwood Paddock Square is furthest out.

How far are the forest, Leesburg and the hospital?

Ocala National Forest lies roughly fifteen miles north, and Leesburg about ten miles south east.

UF Health The Villages Hospital is close by, and we are not affiliated with it.

Our Lady Lake office is a short drive from the Lake-Sumter State College campus in Leesburg, and we serve the same tri-county community. We are not affiliated with the college.

ChiroMed is an independent practice. Naming nearby hospitals, colleges or landmarks describes where we are, not who we are affiliated with. There is no affiliation, partnership or endorsement of any kind.

Patient experience at our Lady Lake office

Are there patient reviews for this service?

The Lady Lake office is the younger of the two, and it has not built much of a review base yet.

The one review left at this address came from somebody treated for long standing pain. It mentions nothing cosmetic and does not stand in for proof that does not exist on this service.

What is worth knowing about this desk instead?

We treat Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, with Tuesday and Friday by appointment, so a course is planned around those days from the start.

People come in from Summerfield, Oxford, Wildwood, Fruitland Park and Leesburg, and some arrive by golf cart.

Who actually asks about contouring here?

Patients in their sixties and seventies ask about this, some a year or so past an effort with their weight that worked.

The question they open with is whether this will shift the rest of it. The answer is no, and they get it before they are quoted anything.

Your first visit

What to expect, step by step

The first visit at Lady Lake decides whether Ultraslim is the right tool for what is bothering you. We look at the area, ask what you are hoping for, and go through your prescriptions and any implanted device before anything is recommended.

  1. 01

The area, and the real goal

You show us what is bothering you and what has not changed. We ask what you are hoping for, because shaping one region and improving your health are separate objectives with separate treatments.

  2. 02

    Medical history and screening

Prescriptions, implanted devices, recent surgery, skin condition over the area, and anything your own physician is managing. In this age group that conversation decides whether we proceed.

  3. 03

A written recommendation, or a no

If contouring suits your goal, the recommended course and its full cost go to you in writing before anything starts. If it does not, you hear that instead, along with what would serve you better.

  4. 04

Sessions built around three treating days

Appointments here fall on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, so a course is planned around those days rather than a seven-day diary. The area is reassessed as you go, and if it is not responding we say so.

  5. An adjustment that is not aimed at a specific finding is just noise. We treat what the exam and the X-ray tell us to treat.

Body Contouring in The Villages in recent research

These sources are independent of this practice and none of them endorses it. They are listed so the reasoning behind the care can be checked rather than taken on trust.

  1. Cryolipolysis and associated health outcomes, adverse events, and satisfaction: A systematic review and meta-analysis

    Obesity Reviews, 2025

Pooled trials found reduced adiposity measures at three months alongside a notable rate of minor adverse events, which is the honest picture of what fat freezing does and does not deliver.

  2. High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic (HIFEM) Energy With and Without Radiofrequency for Noninvasive Body Contouring: A Systematic Review

    Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, 2024

The reviewers conclude that better data and patient reported outcomes are still needed, which is why no promise is made here about muscle toning devices.

Tap a message for the honest answer. Call The Villages (352) 915-7150

Which days can I book contouring sessions at the Lady Lake office?

Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM and again from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Tuesday and Friday here are by appointment, and we are closed Saturday and Sunday. Three full treating days carry the bulk of the week at this address, so a course of sessions is planned around them from the outset. Ring (352) 915-7150 and the desk will tell you what is genuinely open rather than what the internet thinks.

the clinic team
My surgeon wants me lighter before a knee replacement. Will this get me there?

No, and anybody who tells you otherwise is selling. Contouring reduces fat in one region. It does not lower your weight in a way a pre-surgical requirement would recognize, and it changes nothing about blood sugar or blood pressure. If that is the reason you are asking, the supervised metabolic side of this practice is the right door, and the consultation will point you at it instead.

the clinic team
Does Medicare or my Medicare Advantage plan pay for body contouring?

No. Shaping and cosmetic treatments are not covered by Medicare, by a Medicare Advantage plan or by commercial insurance, so this is self-pay from the start. We would rather you heard that here than at the desk afterwards. Payment plans are available for self-pay care, and the front desk will tell you which one fits the course you were recommended.

the clinic team
I have a pacemaker and I take a blood thinner. Can I still be assessed?

Come and be assessed. Implanted electronic devices, blood thinners, long-term steroids, recent surgery in the area and skin conditions over the treatment site all get asked about before anything is recommended, and some of them mean the answer is no or that your own physician has to clear it first. That screening is part of the $47 new-patient visit, and you are not charged for a course that never starts.

the clinic team
How do I get there from Brownwood or Lake Sumter Landing, and can I bring the cart?

From Lake Sumter Landing it is a straightforward run north on US-441; from Brownwood it is the longest of the three squares, so allow a little extra at the CR 466 junction in the morning. Carts do get here, and because path connections change the desk will describe the current route from your village when you call. Parking is flat and directly outside suite 404.

the clinic team
How many sessions will I need, and what will it cost?

Both are set at the assessment and given to you in writing before anything begins, because it depends on the area, on how many regions are involved and on what we find when we look. Nothing is quoted on the phone. The only figure published anywhere on this site is the $47 new-patient exam.
